This week, we have been seeing miracle upon miracle. (de novo!)
We have been teaching and visiting with one family of three, they had many marriage issues, and were ....having a really hard time. (to put it gently) for a few weeks we have been teaching and learning with them. But hear me out folks- we asked them to begin reading the book of mormon together each day- just a chapter or two, and praying together.
This has literally been the biggest miracle of my mission so far. The absolute turn around, the strength and the relationship the three of them have. It is so beautiful. Man, jus tearin up thinkin about em.
I guess what I want to say, is, never underestimate the power that rests in the Book of Mormon, and the Scriptures. They have the power to lift souls, change hearts, enlighten minds, and literally bring miracles.
Mahm? You remember how we looked up the weather in Campinas and were pleasantly surprised to find it was perfect throughout the whole year? yup. ha. Every day it is either bacon-baking worthy, raining like a hurricane, or windy to the point that... it's like a Marilyn Monroe moment EVERY MOMENT! aha
This week we had a zone conference with President and Sister Snow of the 70! President Snow had a meeting with all the leaders and I got to translate for Sister Snow! Basically, I realized, I can't speak English. This week I forgot how to say pomegranate turkey, peacock, and armadillo. In English. This is a good sign. I don't speak English, and I still don't know how to speak Portuguese right. It makes life interesting I guess.
And I have also been realizing, if you don't apply what you learn, it´s good for a little-something to think about.
