My Dearest of all Queridas

Hello yet again from the Southern Americas.
I have about 500 stories to share and about 15 minutes to type.

Here's to a short recap!
Pizza here is strange. People like to skip tomato sauce and pile layers and layers of other things on crusts of crackers and call it pizza. When I say other things... I mean Other things. Corn. Onions, Broccoli, Fruit, layers and layers of strange cheese, a lot of things I don't recognize... and Guarana. (naturally) I think one day they will all taste real pizza and...BOOM. revolution

Mmm....Also- I tried out our little water filter mechanism in our house,
and was pleasently suprised when ants came filtering  out instead of clean water! How exciting! But Mahm I am proud to say, only a lil minor freakout ensued.
Now the lizard in the bed.... that was another story.

Final thing about this wonderful country that I absolutely adore? The ônibus. You know the nightbus in Harry Potter? Imagine that... the crazy fastness, plus all of the flying beds (which are in this case, people) a lot of really hard poles, and really sharp turns (aka a lot of awkward moments landing on peoples laps) all collected into a single word summing up the public transportation here. the ônibus.

This week Sister Gòmez was not feeling well- She got agrippa  and she ended up spending two days bedridden.
One of these the days, the sky exploded. Seriously- I have never seen anything like it. A huge mass of rolling darkness just took over the sky- I stepped outside, and I just stood there and Marveled. There is no way God couldn't be real. The power, and immensity of creation.

Sister Gòmez is a rockstar. We found a disjointed fork in the road and she declared defiantly (in English)
`That is the fork Shrek used`
I died that day.
The Shrek fork which  I obviously swiped from the street. Literally.

Stories stories stories- but now to the important part.
The work.
We are seeing miracles in Jundiaí daily. We are constantly learning, stretching, and trying.
One thing I have been studying and thinking about, is being happy. Being happy in the worst and best of situations, in the worst and best of moods. Truly, what has given me more relief, more happiness and joy is focusing on others.
Giving.
Serving,
Thinking about others.
I guess in my life I was never called on to Forget Myself. It seems as if my whole life, everyone I met... All the experiences, I kind of focused on how they helped me. How I was learning. How I was growing. But...
I guess what I want to say- is there is something bigger and better out there that I am just beginning to experience.
Focusing, acting, serving, and helping. Teaching, thinking, dreaming, and giving... all about and for other people.
I am very far from perfect- especially in this (and many other aspects of me) BUT,  There is nothing in the world that compares to just... giving!
Well at least, I am becoming a fan REAL quicker.

Thank you for all of your payers, letters, and lifesaving love.
