Sept. 9, 2014 She Walks Lightly

HELLO LOVES
I officially have posterity in the Brazil Campinas mission! My little filha is from Forteleza Brazil (Foh-tehhh-lay-zah) And She is the most sweet, precious, humble, and quiet little thing. Her name is Sister Nascimento and she likes to laugh at my very American accent.

I think she spends half the time trying to memorize the lessons, and new scriptures, and the other half just laughing at my "ridiculousness."

She thinks I'm weird.
At least she is happy and I am improving my portuguese.

Training is quite difficult. It is a lot of responsibility, a lot of thinking, and a whole lot of things to keep track of. I love her to death, this little one, but haha things have been quite difficult for the two of us. At least I can cook brigadeiro when things get depressing!

This week I tried to make Brigadeiro again. TWICE. The first time I ended up getting the ground, the stove, and Sister Pontes COVERED IN CHOCOLATE. The second time our stove ran out of gas.... so I tried to do it in the microwave. Apparently Brigadeiro explodes. Sister Nascimento had a laughing fit. Sister A. Silva and Sister Pontes as well. But they all were quite happy to eat the chocolate deliciousness anyway.

One day I shall pay My brother to cook for me ALL THE DAYS.

HIGHLIGHTS:
TODAY WE WENT TO THE TEMPLE
my favorite place in the WORLD. A place to forget yourself, and To remember yourself.

YESTERDAY W___ WAS BAPTIZED (after going to his church (Nazereno), teaching him in the corner store bakery, a lot of family home evenings, and many many questions, the man who used to play on the professional Soccer team (SÃO PAULO) Made a solemn covenant with God, that he would keep His commandments, take upon himself the name of Christ and Always remember Him!
Cool thing? When he went to church for the first time, two members approached him, and bro-hugged him. Turns out the three used to play soccer together as teenagers!

An investigator´s Spirit friend told him that "Ela anda leve"
Or that I "walk lightly"
I thought about that for a good while. " She Walks Lightly" Of all the things that could have been said. Why that?
and then I thought.... how interesting... I truly consider myself LIVRE.
Nothing to hold me down. A free conscious, a God in whom I trust and know, a great hope for tomorrow....
It is the truth that sets people free.

my face again. HOW FUN! everyone look at sister mitchell´s face and be HAPPY!

LOVE YOU GUYS
 SISTER MITCHELL
(p.s. update: I shall be heading home the 18th of december)

-President Perrotti (Brazil Campinas Mission)
