Yes.
Remember that bus story a while back that I shared?
The one where I accidentally got stuck in the middle of the mass of people on the bus while my companions got off?
Wellp turns out I didn´t learn my lesson well enough.
This week I got off too early.... like two bus stops too early. I just... Thought it was the right stop this time, got off, turned around (expecting to see Sister Moura and Sister Staples in pursuit). The doors closed, and the bus was off. And there I was... at this busstop thinking
ah nuts.... not again.
I realized in that moment how grateful I am to have a companion (or 2) in Brazil.
Gratitude.
It's a funny thing. The more you stop and realize all you have and have been given, the more your love for God increases. The more your understanding of His infinite love and devotion broadens. The more... you just can never do enough.
But find joy in doing that... hahaha the little you can do, with all your little might, and all your little soul.
His infinite mercy is much more visible to me now .
Think about it: He has given you Literally all you have, and literally all the good you are or ever will be! He is the all powerful and master-creator, who is absolutely and totally in tune with YOU. Your problems, your dreams, your doubts, your hopes, and He is there waiting to help you.
What a beautiful truth to ponder on.
We have been experiencing miracles here- in the hardest moments- the moments when you are literally melting, dying of thirst (after having already drunk your body´s weight in water) your muscles are sore (specifically from doing that strange workout video that your companion got from the secretary office called insanity with doctor Oz) and your mind just wants to relax... think about home... or America... or anything (but reality)....
In those precious moments it matters most. Sacrificing your will- what you want or need (selfishness) and becoming a creature that thinks of others first. Specifically God and His will.
It's in those moments (when you are fighting the hardest) that you grow the most, and find the most happiness..
I feel like I am just beginning to grasp the concept of happiness.
What is happiness? For me... What I have found... It's really, Giving up your will, to be in line with His.... Not giving up... Letting Him, and doing your part to CHANGE your will to be His will. Letting him change your natural, selfish ways to be in line with the divine.
Then doing and fighting ceases to be a sacrifice and becomes an opportunity and blessing.

"The Lord has not chosen the great and learned of the world to perform His work on the earth. . . . but humble men [and women]devoted to His cause . . ., men who will of necessity give the glory unto Him knowing that of themselves they can do nothing." –Lorenzo Snow
