But first things first.
You should all know, after a good hard week of work... sometimes sister missionaries like to buy lots of chocolate and dance to western-themed hymns. In the words of Sister Staples:
"nos comemos bom. Porque nosso janta de sol chocolate foi bom. ... mas não bom." Basically. we have all united in the fact that we will all become fat and happy on the mission. Eat chocolate, sing hymns, and be happy. right? Anyway, it is a party with six sisters in one li'l yellow house of sunshine.
This week, the showerdrain freaked out too. We walked in to the bathroom to find the whole floor flooded with delicious, smelly, grey liquid. ha. Basically we all just cried and then built up enough courage to go fishing. aka we made this strange metal creation with a hanger and unearthed a rat in our drain. We named him our son, and then threw him away. Never. Again.
p.s. We named him our son because the rat... was literally made of all of us. A hairy rat... you know?
Also, this week the heavens opened and poured out a Blessing on Brazil... My umbrella broke... both of them. So Lúiza loaned me her huge black one.
But wait, theres more! Sister more, has this tiny lil pink princess-like umbrella and this huge white poncho with pockets. Obviouslly a trade was in order. I donned the white cape of joy, with the umbrella of pink majesty and we splashed out into the streets. I think the tree of us scared a few people into recebendo a gente na casas deles. NOSSA Eu não consegui parar ....speaking portuguese.
Story time story time.
To make long things short. It is summer. Santa Claus still dresses like Santa Claus in Brazil and there is a reason Brazil is so green.
I have literally the best companions in the world. no lie. I love them to death.
Sister Staples makes me laugh basically every time she says anything (like Luke!)
We are so happy together!
and SILVIA JOÃO, Jackson, y Jackoline will be baptized this weekend KEEPP'EM IN YOUR PRAYERS.
This work is real. Oh so important, oh so fufilling. and I am just bursting with happiness. I love it. I feel like a missionary. I feel.... LIKE JUST SO HAPPY.
Its crazy because I have absolutely no time. Most of the time, we have to literally run home to make it before curfew at 9:30, and we are just wiped out. 6:30 wake up and run... and.... I just... I CANT STOP SMILING! I feel like I am in heaven here.
So cheers, Happy THANKSGIVING (doesnt exist here) and happy family and friends and america and Snow!!!!
p.s. I officially have begun to teach english at WIZARD. (an english school) It is really fun to find ways to fit the gospel into Everything.
Ill send double pictures next time (We are at the lawn house) (lawwn-housey)
ALL MY LOVEE AND AMERICAN SOUL
