Since Thanksgiving doesn't exist here... I kind of missed my yearly opportunity to publicly "count my many blessings". And thus, all of you precious ones, get to experience the joy that is O MISSÃO
1. I am grateful for Sister Moura who has already been influential in changing me, my nature, my abilities, confidence, happiness.... basically everything. Sister Staples, who makes me laugh through long days, and invites the spirit with her testimony and sweet sweet Texan heart.
2. I am grateful for the ônibus. Painfully, yes. But grateful.
3. For... those nights when we dont find another friendly cockroach in our house.
4. For the endless knowledge... erreday
5. For those few moments when I have time to read a little more, or write a little more
6. For that time that we started caroling on the bus, and everyone just stood there looking at the ground. Probably because we sang Rudolf the red-nose reindeer and no one knows that song... or English
7. For all of those nights that we walk into our lil yellow house exhausted, and still pray, and plan for the next day.
8. for all of the infinite letters and prayers Really, THANK YOU
9. For that precious present that mom put together with a bunch of little messages, and cards for ever day of December, *tear tear loveyouall
10. The fun fact that I have lost my ability to converse in English with people. Portuguese is way easier.
11. For 2 legs and oh yes teeth, i am real glad I have all of them
12. Fresh fruit juice
13. The nights, walking under the stars, and seeing the city light up, and remembering its almost Christmas! and for the sun-stricken mornings. when the warm colors just cut through the white blue.
14. For humbling moments, when I really feel the hand of God in this work, and in my life.
15. For Jesus Christ, and His sacrifice. God and Christ. The reason I have hope and purpose. The givers of all strength, hope, and love. I can not put into words the importance of keeping them in theforefront of our lives, remembering them when we are making decisions, listening, and hearing for real answers.
I am humbled and oh so grateful to be Serving.
