It has been nothing short of incredible. Not much has changed outwardly, but inwardly, goodness me , things are looking very, very different. What has made such a drastic change in mah life? AHA! good guess. God. Yup.
All good comes from God. That includes good sentiments aaaand good feelings about the present and future. I've felt a steady brightening in my outlook as little changes and choices have been taken to bring me closer to The Gifter. And I can say, resolutely, without a doubt, that gratitude comes from God. Fascinating thought, really. And I believe it to be a true one.
Gratitude comes from God. When we are far from Him, it is harder to perceive the good, harder to make out that silver lining, harder to find His hand in the day to day. In contrast– when we take little steps; going to the temple, really putting sincerity into our pleas and thank-you's, putting in the effort to go to institute every week even though it is wayyyyhay out of the way, or when we pray for and act on opportunities to serve... basically when we make and act on goals to grow closer to Him, we are blessed with increased capacity to do just that.
We've got to keep moving. Never be complacent in our relationships.
Relationships are like plants, I think.
