Two thoughts:
1. The Samaritan who paused to help, had with him oil and wine to dress wounds. This means he was prepared to help. He had the necessary tools to assist. Do we have what we need to help others? Are we sufficiently strong to be able to shoulder another's burdon?
2. The whole situation was not very convenient. Ha. First of all... no one likes being mugged. Second of all, rarely do people like being interrupted from their list of to-do's and tasks. The Samaritan had to change his plans to care for the man. He probably "lost" a whole day in the service of this man. Are we willing and ready to change our plans immediately when we see someone in need?
This is my pokemon.
