Sometimes I get into a rut. I go through the same routine to try and reach secular perfection and attain goals... But after full-throttling through this routine day after day, month after months– change tastes like nectar to the soul. It is exciting, enlivening, and fresh.
You know that feeling of jumping into a frigid body of water? You can work yourself up about it.... hugging the side of the lake, dippin' your toe in dere, just knowing the shock that is awaitin' you. And when you finally slice into that water, it feels like everything in your body comes alive. You are instantly aware of every nerve ending, every sharp twang of feeling. When you erupt from the surface, you can hardly breathe... but it feels so good, strangely enough. That rush reminds you that you are alive. It flings you out of the humdrum.
And within a matter of minutes, you cease to feel the cold.
Change is like that, I think.
So holla 'atcha new schedule, workload, hair-color, apartment, friends, ward, calling, and future.
Looks like this jump is gonna be a wild one. #bittersweet
