Did you know Mango can burn your face?
MY LOVELIES.
I LOVE YOU ALLL BAHHHHHHHHHHHH
There is no time to write.
So I shall just give you an outline
I stayed in planalto, Sister Spencer was transferred.
I have 3.5 more weeks in my mission, and I am already bawling.
goodness gracious. I don’t want to leave.
You know those awkward missionaries that can never return to the
real world? They just spend their days trying to schedule with the
missionaries, contacting everybody on the street, and just reading the Old
Testament the whole day long?
I was burned by mango milk this week. We ran across a field of the
glorious fruit, and spent a few minutes plucking the glorious things. we then
continued walking, and I realized my face was burning. Mango milk, does the
same thing as lemon juice, when it has contact with the sun, and skin.
yup.
Our ward did a BAZAR this week, it is basically a garage sale. I
felt at home, and happy. I LOVE THRIFT STORES> it was great, a bunch of
people went, and we were able to do a lot of contacting, and entregar materials.
(I don’t know how to say that in English)
I met a 106 old man, he was still crackin!
Proverbs 28:25 He that is of a proud heart
stirreth up strife : but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made
fat.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of
thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with
thy God?
LOVE YOU ALL
GOT ADVICE for these 3 weeks?

The One
The One
QUERIDA FAMILIA.
The longer I am here and the more that I get to know the Brazilian
people, the more I just want to eat everybody up! I love them! I JUST ADORE EM!
The more stories I hear, the more tears that are shed, the more people that I
get to KNOW..... the more I just want to cut my little soul up in millions of
pieces and give it to all of them. BAHHHHHH. How interesting; with more love
has also come a greater pain.
Saturday morning. We had a lesson marked with a new investigator
named R...... I confidently led us from home towards one of our distant
neighborhoods (the TAQUARAL) After a while.... I realized that I had.... no
Idea quere this P. Sapicaí road was. After another few minutes of checking on
the map. I realized that we had been walking in the wrong direction, in the
wrong neighborhood and that P. SApucai.... is the street right next to our
house.
heh
So we spun around and began quickly backtracking to our house.
That is when we saw a lady approaching us "VOCÊS SÃO MISSIONARIAS DA
IGREJA DE JESUS CRISTO DOS ÚLTIMOS DIAS!?" we were just a bit startled.
"HELLO, I am P....... I prayed you here." We learned that she had
been baptized in the United States (she had lived there for 22 years.) and had
returned to her homeland after a few family problems. She is the only member in
her family, and had been diligently searching for the church, but had no
success in finding it. So she asked God for help.
Our God Answers prayers.
I know that´s true.
We were teaching a Less- active. He explained to us why he had started
to leave the church.
He told us that he didn't feel loved. The members hadn’t
visited him for a long time. He knew it was true, but didn't feel a part of the family.
My heart broke 5 times over. ´
Visiting teaching, and home teaching....
this part of the work is so important. I would say it is one
of the most important callings that exists in the church. It is the ministry to
the One.
The Lord ministers to the ONE. He knows us individually,
thus we should know our brothers individually. That is how we
can help them! Help each other! We should care! listen! ask! wonder! love them!
For they are our BROTHERS and SISTERS!
And it came to pass that when the brother of
Jared had said these words, behold, the Lord stretched forth his hand
and touched the stones one by one with his finger. And
the veil was taken from off the eyes of the brother of Jared, and he
saw the finger of the Lord; and it was as the finger of a man, like unto flesh
and blood; and the brother of Jared fell down before the Lord, for he
was struck with fear.
3 Nephi 11:15
15 And it came to pass that the multitude went
forth, and thrust their hands into his side, and did feel the prints
of the nails in his hands and in his feet; and this they did do, going
forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see
with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did
bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that
should come.
3 Nephi 17:21
21 And when he had said these words,
he wept, and the multitude bare record of it, and he took their little
children, one by one, and blessed them, and prayed unto the
Father for them.
may we go about knowing our brothers, so that we can be friends,
love them for who they are, and truly be instruments in the hands of the
Almighty.
LOVE YOU GUYS.

kill the world with steroids (he said after he has accomplished his evil
design, she will go to church.....) we also met a little elderly lady who couldn't hear too well (we had to scream at her gate, and when we finally got our point
across, she told us, I’m furshure not interested, thank you) One of our new
investigators began bawling during the lesson we got rained upon (repeatedly),
I think we walked a total of 30 miles this week, Turns out, Sister Remund and I

Comparison
Comparison
This week was crazy, wonderful, exhausting, and
humbling.
Of all things I am learning about how.
IT’S NOT ABOUT COMPARISON. This is a lesson that every single one
of us has to learn.
Especially me.
I am convinced that comparison within the human race is not of
God.
Comparing is such a dangerous thing. It’s a parasite, it
eats at our self-esteem, chews away at our confidence, and leaves us with empty
holes of doubts in ourselves, and doubt in the Lord’s love for us.
How can a tree compare itself to an ocean?
How can a fox compare itself to a bird?
The two creatures are equally important.
The two are equally loved by the father.
The two have different and distinct purposes, different
potentials.
In the fox´s eyes...he is not as gifted as that little bird.
He cannot fly.... he cannot even dream of growing wings. He longs to put his
thought in song. He imagines flying far above the clouds, and the banks. Being
about making everyone´s life a little brighter, and a little lighter. But... He
is not a lovely shade of blue.... and was not as "gifted" as that
little birdie.
That bird on the other hand, envies the fox. She sees his four
legs, how fast he can weave through the trees and brooks. She observes his
quick senses, and wonders why she wasn't gifted with them. She sees his smart
face, and his slick fur, and imagines what it would be like, to have a warm
cover as his. Imagine it.... not having to worry about building a nest to
rest in.
The Bird and the fox were equally gifted, divinely created.
They were given specific traits, and talents, specific qualities
and habits.
Why is it, that as humans, we compare ourselves to our brothers?
We obsess ourselves on being the best, or seen as the best, when we are on a
personal and individual journey to reach our personal potential.
Oh why should the spirit of
mortal be proud?
Like a swift-flitting meteor, a
fast-flying cloud,
A flash of the lightning, a
break of the wave,
Man passeth from life to his
rest in the grave. 9
"The Lord doesn't care at all if we spend our days working
in marble halls or stable stalls. He knows where we are, no matter how humble
our circumstances. He will use—in His own way and for His holy purposes—those
who incline their hearts to Him.
God knows that some of the greatest souls who have ever lived
are those who will never appear in the chronicles of history. They are the
blessed, humble souls who emulate the Savior’s example and spend the days of
their lives doing good."-President UCHTDORF
I love you guys. I pray for you, and for the work of the Lord to
continue forth, boldly and nobly. I am so grateful for all that the Lord has
given Me. His daughter.
May we go about, joying ourselves in the goodness of our father,
and in the uniqueness of his creations.
ALL MY LOVE-
Sister Mitchell
