No Sleep Intentionally?

            So I have been wondering...
Why is it that humans are almost entirely dependent on satisfying basic needs?
Eating. Sleeping. Drinking. Moving once and a while.
Sure, our bodies need these ingredients to function. When a person is missing one of these "basics," they tend to go insane. That is all they can think about, all they can focus on. Is this innate flame that causes people to kill each other over food, or even worse, eat each other for food? Is this what causes people to put aside humanity and just focus on the animal inside?
My friend Google says yes.

Of course.
I am here claiming to know and understand this, when I have never truly experienced a desire to this extent. To the point where I would do literally anything to satisfy a craving.

So Naturally, I am going to experiment with the least detrimental of these "Basic" needs.
That is, Sleep.
Yes Alissa. Way to show the world your intelligence. Go and try to avoid sleep for the longest time possible... during college... for NO REASON in particular! Yup. You are going far in life.
Then Again, maybe I can come up with 5 decent excuses
                           1. I get 8 more hours in the day = incalculably valuable to any college student
                           2. To try and find the delicate balance of human willpower vs. natural desire
                           3. To truly see and record the effects of doing something like this
                           4. To understand what some people experience on a daily basis
                           5. To prove myself wrong.

and now commence people thinking either I'm a lunatic or that I will not get far at all.
Hey, who knows.
I might become a deranged llama nutcase.
Or maybe I already am.
